About Dr. Jose
Dr Amy Jose is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gynaecological Oncology at the Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar, Chennai, with over six years of specialised experience in the surgical management of gynaecological malignancies. Her clinical practice is strongly focused on advanced oncologic surgery and multidisciplinary cancer care.
A Gold Medalist during her postgraduate training, she completed super specialty fellowship training in Gynaecological Oncology at Christian Medical College, Vellore (2017–2019), where she gained high-volume exposure to complex pelvic oncologic procedures. She further holds a Fellowship and Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery (2024), along with formal training in palliative care and biomedical research.
Her surgical expertise includes radical cytoreductive surgery for ovarian cancer, comprehensive staging and radical procedures, pelvic exenteration, and retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy. She is trained in Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) and sentinel lymph node mapping for endometrial and vulvar cancers. She performs laparoscopic and robotic oncologic surgeries, integrating minimally invasive approaches where oncologically appropriate.
