About Dr. Rengaraj
Dr. Karthik Rengaraj is a Consultant Hemato-Oncologist and BMT Physician currently serving as Assistant Professor in Department of Medical Oncology. He completed his MBBS from Thanjavur Medical College, MD in General Medicine from Government Medical College, Nagpur, followed by advanced training in Hemato-Oncology at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai and DM Clinical Hematology from Christian Medical College, Vellore. He is additionally qualified with MRCP (UK) and DipRCPath (Haem), London.
His clinical expertise includes management of acute leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, and bone marrow failure, with special interest in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies. He has been actively involved in high-complexity leukemia care, transplant supportive services, and apheresis programs.
Dr. Karthik is a recipient of the M.J. Shah Award in Tropical Medicine and the Best Oral Presentation Award for the national GRAIN study on granulocyte transfusions. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and is committed to developing affordable, protocol-driven hematology and transplant services with a strong focus on patient safety, academics, and research.
